Standard techniques involving the analysis of the shape of the hand and fingers, with the variations within areas of the hand corresponding to features of the subject’s personality and future, allowing for his or her ‘fortune’ to be told through interpretation by the palmist. It is commonly assumed that reading from the subject’s left hand informs of the subject’s potential, while reading the subject’s right tells of the person’s personality and character.
